Cyclist Squat: how to do it and form tips

A heel-elevated squat that maximally loads the quads with minimal glute or hip involvement. Excellent for quad hypertrophy and knee rehabilitation.

Form tips

  1. Elevate your heels 2-3 inches on plates and stand with feet together or close.
  2. Descend straight down — your knees will travel far forward, which is the goal.
  3. Use lighter weight than a back squat — the quad demand is extreme.
