Plate Front Raise: how to do it and form tips

A bilateral front raise using a weight plate, building anterior deltoid and upper chest strength with a fixed, stable grip that spreads tension across both hands evenly.

Form tips

  1. Grip the plate at the 3 and 9 o'clock positions for a neutral wrist angle.
  2. Raise to eye level — not above, which increases impingement risk.
  3. Control the descent for 2–3 seconds to maximise time under tension on the way down.
