Rolling Tricep Extension: how to do it and form tips

A skull crusher variation where the dumbbells roll back past the head at the bottom, extending the range of motion and placing the long head of the triceps under a deep loaded stretch.

Form tips

  1. Let the dumbbells travel back toward your crown in a controlled roll — don't stop at forehead level as in a standard skull crusher.
  2. Press back up in one smooth arc rather than two separate movements.
  3. The extra range of motion increases injury risk if rushed; control the eccentric carefully.
