Single-Leg Hip Thrust: how to do it and form tips

A unilateral version of the hip thrust that doubles the load per glute and exposes left-right imbalances in hip extension strength.

Form tips

  1. Extend one leg straight forward and drive through the heel of the working leg.
  2. Keep your hips level — don't rotate toward the lifted leg.
  3. Squeeze the working glute hard at full extension.
