Single-Leg Seated Calf Raise: how to do it and form tips

A unilateral version of the seated calf raise that forces each soleus to work independently. Exposes and corrects strength asymmetries between your left and right calves.

Form tips

  1. Load the pad on one thigh only and place the working foot on the platform edge.
  2. Lower your heel as far as possible for a full stretch, then rise all the way up.
  3. Complete all reps on one leg before switching — don't rush the tempo.
